Late night post: Nighthawks, by Edward Hopper
I think this week I’ll post about my favorite painting.
I’ll start with the painting itself: Nighthawks by Edward Hopper,
currently located in my favorite art museum, The Art Institute of Chicago.

Stay tuned.
Thanks!
Thank you to whoever stole that 900 year old heart over in Dublin
As if I didn’t have enough to be working on, but this article stole my attention:
900 Year Old Heart Stolen From Cathedral
I was going to say that this is perfect fodder for a short story, but instead, I believe I’ll put it into the book I’m writing. I have just the spot for it in Kingdoms of Blood & Magic.
Thanks, real world, for giving me a – rather dark and morbid – muse!
Finding that story that demands to be told: Thank you, Rick Riordan
Who doesn’t love Rick Riordan? I think all of his series have been a god-send (pardon that pun; it really wasn’t intended) for my daughter. She has developed an immense knowledge-base regarding Greek, Egyptian and Roman mythology and culture because of his books: The Percy Jackson Series, The Heroes of Olympus Series, The Kane Chronicles.
I really appreciate this little interview with him from a few years back. I hope you do too.
